The institute is a university-affiliated research facility and was established to pursue its goal under newly arranged business environments in time for globalization, information and communication-oriented era not only internationally, but also domestically. These objectives could be attained through strengthening university-industry cooperation and by building information-oriented systems. The crucial components of setting this system up are : adopting up-to-date theories in various fields of studies in the social sciences, analyzing the industrial environment, maintaining successive data, transferring the database, consulting corporational management and formulating strategies. It is our hope that the efforts would lead to opportunities to contribute academic improvement and industrial advancement through university-industry cooperation.
